Migration Completed
Migration to the new IPControl devices was completed on November 15th, 2022.
The old IPControl servers will remain online through November, and systems querying these servers will be logged and IT staff notified to make required updates as seen in the DNS Configuration Standards.
Any issues can be directed to ServiceDesk@usgs.gov or gs_help_dns@usgs.gov.

The maintenance window may last up to 8 hours. Please make any changes in IPControl before the outage begins. Once the migration is completed, Active Directory DNS forwarders will be moved from the old servers to the new servers.

To avoid DNS resolution issues, all computers joined to the gs.doi.net Active Directory should only point to a gs.doi.net AD DNS server for DNS resolution. Non-AD joined computers should be configured to use AD for DNS, NTP, and other services.
