With the implementation of the mandatory USAccess software Release 17 in December of 2019, Java has been replaced by the AI Activation Control. Java JRE is no longer required on LAS or MCU systems to sign the Acknowledgement page.
Release 18, coming this summer, will address the removal of Java from Light Activation Stations and Mobile Credentialing Units. Sites may also uninstall java manually from Programs and Features. Removal of Java has been tested at a local LAS to verify this information.
