USAccess Release 15 was scheduled to be released on January 19-21, 2019, but the release was delayed due to the shutdown. The updates (LAS to 5.0 and MCU to 2.0) will be required within 1-2 weeks as these new versions address a security vulnerability.

This release is an upgrade to the Card Management System (CMS) that is used to activate and update/rekey USAccess credentials. As a result, Light Activation (LA), Mobile Credentialing (MCU), and Fixed Credential Unit (FCU) workstations MUST be updated to work with the new CMS once it moves to production. LA and MCU workstations that do not have the latest version of the mobile software loaded will NOT be able to complete activations, updates or desktop rekeys once the CMS is updated.
Light Credentialing Stations (LCS) — PLEASE NOTE: LCS will not be able to perform activations after the release. They will continue to be able to do enrollments until 3/29/19. If we have not already scheduled you to receive new MCU equipment, please contact Sarah Bemis ASAP to get this process started.
