IEM Implementation Deadline

Information Technology Specialists,
The purpose of this communication is to request deployment of the IBM Endpoint Manager (IEM) client on all Information Technology (IT) desktop, laptop and server devices prior to May 30, 2014.
The USGS has successfully piloted the deployment of IEM and has required its use for International Travel and Internet facing devices. We are now extending the deployment to all office automation devices in USGS. Offices that have an established software deployment methodology may immediately commence the deployment of the IEM agent to the remaining systems in their office. If you previously downloaded the client from the IEM core site please download a new copy to ensure you have the latest version. If you need to deploy additional relays please coordinate them with the IEM Technical Team.
Training sessions will be provided to review the agent and relay installation process and provide a refresher on how to navigate through the IEM web portal and console to access system information and produce reports.
IEM Deployment Training sessions will be held on the following dates and times:
· Session 1: Monday May 12 at 11am-1pm EDT
· Session 2: Tuesday May 13 at 11am-1pm EDT
· Session 3: Wednesday May 14 at 11am-1pm EDT
· Session 4: Thursday May 15 at 11am-1pm EDT
These sessions will also be used to coordinate assistance to offices that prefer a more structured implementation approach with direct involvement from the IEM Team. To maintain a manageable session size, pre-registration will be required. Additional sessions can be scheduled if necessary.
