Systems with limited network access fail to activate
Systems that show an exclamation point over their network icon
or claim to have no or limited access to doi.net
will not activate.
This seems to mostly affect Windows 8.1 systems. To workaround this issue, connect to VPN using Ivanti Secure, close out of all office apps, and relaunch one of the O365 apps to bring up the activation prompts. This will allow the user to activate their 365 license. The Colorado VPN Connection has been the most reliable for this workaround.

PCFF failed to connect to the database
After moving to Office 365, PCFF 7.2 gives an error that it failed to connect to the database. Before moving to Office 365, users that run PCFF should be upgraded to PCFF 7.3 using the MECM application 4-GS – USGS PCFF 7.3 which will automatically install the 2016 MS Database Engine.
If your site is not using MECM, after installing PCCF 7.3, the Microsoft Access 2016 Database Engine will need to be installed from here.

Opening OneNote Notebooks from personal drive
After moving to Office 365 and OneDrive for Business, you can no longer access your personal one drive space through the app. However, users are still able to sign into their personal Microsoft account through the web client to migrate the notebooks over. Only connecting directly to Office 365 with a personal Microsoft account is blocked.
