SharePoint sites are available to all USGS offices by request using the Enterprise Collaboration Services (ECS) Self-Service Center. Using SharePoint, USGS can share ideas and expertise, create custom solutions for specific needs, host websites, applications, tools, intelligent search to find the right business information in support of our science mission.

xCollaboration Site information

The USGS xCollaboration Site allows for USGS employees to share and collaborate documents with non-DOI/USGS employees using SharePoint.  A site can be requested through the portal link above.  The USGS sponsor will have full access to administer permissions (read only, read/write, upload, etc).  All non DOI/USGS users must be requested by the sponsor and must provide name, phone, email.
