Repair BESClient on Windows workstations using MECM
These steps show how to deploy the baseline configuration in remediation mode. This can be used to fix the BigFix client on machines that have the MECM client installed and running.
- As a local MECM 2012 administrator, open the MECM console
- Go to Assets and Compliance -> Overview -> Compliance Settings -> Configuration Baselines -> GS -> eDeployment.
- To deploy the Configuration Baseline, right-click the baseline object, GS-ENT IEM BESClient Installed and Running, and select Deploy. This will pop up the deployment settings properties.
- Check the box for Remediate noncompliant rules when supported and then check the box to Allow remediation outside the maintenance window. Select a devices collection which the baseline will be deployed to. The result will look as follows:
- Click to deploy the Configuration Baseline. It will take some time for clients to check-in and obtain the new configuration baseline policy. The status of the deployment can be viewed by clicking on the Configuration Baseline object and click on the Deployments tab in the details. Further status details can be viewed by right-clicking the object listed in the Deployments tab and choosing View Status.
