NWIS Server Inventory Review Due

It is time again to schedule the NWIS security tasks for 2017. This year we need for you to review your NWIS server inventory and perform your COO tests. Even through the NWIS-TS system is rolling out this year, replacing the NWIS ADAPS, the NWIS COO testing is important as ever. There is still the need to have coverage this year for contingencies for the all NWIS systems (ADAPS, Water Quality, Ground Water Inventory, and Water Use).
- Review and update, if necessary, the NWIS server inventory for your center (server inventory e-mail already sent). Please notify us, via e-mail, of any changes or if there are no changes needed. Because of the need to update the list for RBST we need you to complete this by January 27, 2017,
- Test your NWIS Annual Continuity of Operations (COO), instructions:
http://nwis.usgs.gov/SECURITY/COO/CooTestInstructions.htm. The tasks has to be complete by March 31, 2017.
