We have a new SAS 9.4 license file as of April 29, 2015, which should be installed on all existing SAS 9.4 installations. This does not change the functionality of the software, but it is important when requesting technical support from SAS. The most recent maintenance update to SAS 9.4 is posted to this site as SAS94-TS1M2, which does change some functionality, and includes this new license.

Right-click on this link, select “Save target as…” and save it to your sid_files directory of your SAS download, for example C:\SAS94\sid_files.
From the Start menu, select All Programs -> SAS -> Utilities
and right-click on Renew SAS Software (64-bit) and select Run As
Administrator.
Alternately, you can locate the utility on your hard drive.
The default folder is:
C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASRenewalUtility\9.4\
Then, right click on sasrenew.exe and select Run As
Administrator to start the Renew SAS Software tool.
There are two steps in the Renew SAS Software window:
1. Select a SAS installation data file.
To proceed, select the SAS installation data file, click
Next, review and click OK.
2. Specify product location.
Note: Typically, the “Folder for SAS config file”
field defaults to the correct path.
Click Renew to complete the steps. Starting SAS, it will show the license:
