These fonts, along with the Visual Identity System fonts, are used by Science Publishing Network (SPN) staff to prepare final publication files for USGS series information products and are required for proper functionality of several SPN map templates developed for author use—-the Adobe Illustrator map templates, MS Word map manuscript templates, and MS Word map pamphlet templates for USGS Open-File Reports. Deployment:
Preferred method of install is MECM.
The fonts are available in the following MECM application:
\Software Library\Overview\Application Management\Applications\GS\4-GS – FGDC Geologic Age Font 001.000
This application installs 21 fonts, including the FGDC Geologic Age fonts and several USGS symbol fonts.
Manual Install:
Download standards_fonts.zip (size 303 KB)
Download FGDCGeoAge.zip (size 47 KB)
Right-click the download and select Extract All…
Right-click the fonts and click Install for all users.
The fonts will appear in with the rest of the system fonts:
